Herpes Simplex (Cold Sores):
Herpes simplex is caused by a virus that results in an infection similar to small clear blisters.  The virus can be virtually dormant or quite active.  Fever, stress, certain foods or drugs and overexposure to sunlight may stimulate the virus.

While herpes simplex is caused by a virus rather than bacteria (such as acne), both of these conditions result in an infection.  The skin does not distinguish the difference between an infection caused by a virus or an infection caused by bacteria and responds in a similar manner to herpes simplex and acne.  Chronic herpes simplex (like moderate to severe acne) causes a zinc imbalance in the skin's chemistry, leaving the skin vulnerable to this virus and slow to heal.

Apresia's Acne Inhibiting Gel is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent and promotes healing.  It quickly and effectively reduces the inflammation and removes the appearance of herpes simplex.  At the first sign of a herpes simplex sore, apply Acne Inhibiting Gel to the site three to four times per day for the first two or possibly three days.  In all probability the sore(s) will be gone by the third day.

Product Usage:
Herpes Simplex (Cold Sores)
Cleanser - Use daily.  Apply to damp face, work into lather, rinse off.
Acne Inhibiting Gel - Apply 3-4 times daily at first sign of cold sores, and continue for 2-4 days until sores disappear.
